American made music: cowboy jazz at its finest, played by beboppers. “Bruce Forman is an exceptional guitarist who plays with aplomb in anysituation. This date is no exception. A set of superbly performed music.”
- Jazz Improv

Blujazz is pretty darn proud to bring you the debut CD from Cow Bop. Featuring guitarist Bruce Forman and his wife, Pinto Pammy on vocals, this hard swingin' fun lovin' CD will set your boots tappin'.

The core band launched its CD release with a cross country trip down Route 66 beginning May 7th, 2004, to raise awareness for the Jazzmasters educational program. Starting in Chicago with only a full tank of gas and $100., the band made the whole trip to LA by playing, bartering, selling CDs and living off the kindness of strangers.

In the process, they sought pledges for each mile traveled to be donated to JazzMasters Workshop, a non-profit program that offers mentorship and music free of charge to kids and teens of all levels. Bruce created the program in January 2000 in California, and it since has been brought to New York and Chicago. Cow Bop also visited schools and community centers along the way to inspire kids and open up new territory for the JMW. Oh, and while they were at it, they were swingin' pretty darn hard. Take a listen for yourself.

Bruce Forman, acclaimed a "prodigious talent" by DownBeat, has developed his dazzling guitar signature over 20-plus years as a professional musician. In JazzTimes, Barney Kessel said, "Bruce Forman is one of the great lights of our age", and Jazziz Magazine prints "He
truly is a keeper of the jazz guitar flame."
