"Tenor saxophonist Paul Jones' solo is the highlight on "Ode To A Folk Song."
"Having promoted many artists at every level of experience who either live in the NYC area or are playing there regularly I have been amazed by the undercurrent of remarkable young artists who are playing where ever they can at the many hip venues now populating the NYC. Most are not just doing the chop thing but are creative composers putting together groups of like peers performing their music. Paul Jones is part of this dynamic creative new breed."
A recent graduate of Manhattan School of Music's Master’s program in Jazz Performance Paul Jones is busy making his way in the New York City music scene.
He can be seen performing at The Rose Theater at Lincoln Center, The Cornelia Street Café, Café Vivaldi, ShapeShifter Lab, The Bar Next Door, St. Peter's Church, The Highline Ballroom, Rockwood Music Hall Stage, Cameo, and various other NYC stages. While at Manhattan School of Music he shared the stage with Joe Lovano, David Leibman, and Randy Brecker.
